The events

The Aspen Snowmass resort is made up of four ski mountains, and Buttermilk Mountain is where the following events take place.

Snowmobile events

Two snowmobile events will create the opportunity for some big stunts and mechanical prowess. The astonishing speeds of the machines as they flip and twist offer high-octane thrills.

The games are broadcast globally, and sports bettors in the U.S. can watch and bet on them at a sportsbook online.

Superpipe

This event is a test of aerial skills and precision. Athletes ride the walls of a halfpipe that’s about 22 feet tall and launch into the air to perform various feats. The judges don’t only look for technical ability but also for fluidity and creativity.

Slopestyle

This event is a fan favorite and combines a competitive structure with creativity. The course has various obstacles, such as rails and jumps, and riders do tricks that showcase their versatility. Originality and overall flow are two factors judges look for.

Big Air

Big Air showcases aerial power as competitors must launch off a huge jump and show the judges a trick that will wow them. They perform feats that seem to defy physics. Athletes train all year round for this event, and you will see performances that push boundaries.

Knuckle Huck

In this event, athletes perform creative tricks using the ‘knuckle’ instead of launching off the ramp. The ‘knuckle’ is the curved part between the tabletop and landing of the Big Air jump. Athletes use it to improvise tricks that show off their personality. Style matters more than height in this event that thrills the crowds.

Must-see moments

It’s hard to choose between events because they are all exciting to watch, but you shouldn’t miss the Superpipe Finals. Knuckle Huck is unique to the Winter X Games, so you could see some sights you won’t see anywhere else.

Superpipe Finals

When watching the Superpipe Finals, you will see some of the very best skiers and snowboarders in the world as they compete to win gold. The judges focus on elements such as difficulty and amplitude.

One of the things to do in Aspen after watching the Superpipe Finals is to go out to one of the top restaurants. Try out Jing on Main Street for Asian fusion and the sushi raw bar.

Showstopper action for social media

These events are unique and full of adrenaline rush moments for the fans. Social media creators can make the most out of it by taking beautiful photos and videos to post viral-worthy Winter X Games content. It’s not always medals and trophies that define moments that you should click. When it’s X Games, every moment is special in some way, as these cannot be seen elsewhere. Ready your phones and take endless photos of these moments.

Fan experiences
